A Journey Toward Healing, Faith, and Freedom

In Thoughts of an Anxious Black Man, Jaret Lloyd opens an honest conversation about what it means to live, love, and heal while carrying the quiet weight of anxiety. Through vulnerability and reflection, he explores how faith, community, and self-acceptance can lead to true freedom. This book is both a mirror and a movement — reminding every reader that healing is not only possible, but powerful.

I’m a writer and advocate for mental, emotional, and physical wellness among Black men. My journey with anxiety and healing taught me that true strength isn’t about silence — it’s about honesty, faith, and community.

Yes, it’s been a journey. And it’s one I’m still walking. Now, I use my voice and my story to remind others that vulnerability is not weakness — it’s freedom. If that message speaks to you, keep reading.

Here's how can i help you

Through my book, Thoughts of an Anxious Black Man: Reflections on Healing, Faith, and Freedom, I invite readers into an honest conversation about anxiety, faith, and identity.

My goal is simple — to create space for Black men (and anyone who’s ever struggled silently) to feel seen, understood, and empowered to heal.

You are not alone.

You are not broken.

You are allowed to heal.
